The CBDT has extended the due date for furnishing Return of Income for A.Y. 2026-27 in respect of persons subject to audit under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
As per Press Release dated 28-Sep-2026, the Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the due date for furnishing Return of Income for A.Y. 2026-27 under Income Tax Act, 1961 from 31-Oct-2026 to 21-Nov-2026.
Accordingly, the specified date for furnishing of the report of audit under the provision of the Income Tax Act, 1961 for the A.Y. 2026-27, in the case of persons covered under S. No. 2 of the Table below Explanation 2 to Section 139(1) of the Act,
stands extended from 30th September 2026 to 21st October 2026.
Hence, associations registered u/s 12A or 10(23C) can file Form 10B/ 10BB for AY 2026-27by 21st October 2026.
